Short version: The site is free to use. It runs in your browser. We don't guarantee it works perfectly. Don't use it for illegal stuff.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using offlinefiletools.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What the Service is

The Service is a collection of file-processing utilities (PDF merge/split/compress/rotate/convert, CSV/JSON conversion, Base64 encoding, etc.) that run entirely in your web browser. We provide it free of charge, supported by optional advertising.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Service for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to process files you don't have the legal right to process.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disable, or compromise the Service or its hosting infrastructure.
  • Reverse-engineer the Service in order to recreate it for sale (you may, however, inspect the source code via your browser — it's not obfuscated, and we encourage transparency).
  • Use automated means to abuse the Service in a way that affects availability for other users.
  • Misrepresent the Service as your own.

4. Your files, your rights

You retain all rights to any file you process with the Service. We claim no ownership and never see the contents of your files. See the Privacy Policy for details on the technical architecture.

5. Our intellectual property

The Service's name, logo, brand, code, and design are the property of the operator. The underlying open-source libraries (PDF.js, pdf-lib, JSZip, PapaParse, etc.) are licensed by their respective authors.

6. No warranty — provided as-is

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will meet your specific requirements.
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
  • The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable.
  • The quality of any service, information, or other material obtained will meet your expectations.

Always verify the output of any file conversion before using it for important purposes. Keep backups of original files.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of the Service shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to data loss, corrupted files, lost profits, or business interruption — arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the Service operator harmless from any claim arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by simply closing the tab. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time without notice. Since there are no accounts and no stored data, termination has no impact on you beyond no longer being able to load the page.

10. Advertising

The Service may display advertisements provided by third parties (such as Google AdSense). Ads are clearly marked. We do not endorse advertised products and are not responsible for the content of ads. You can manage advertising consent via the Cookie settings link in the bottom-left of any page.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the Service operator is resident, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in that country.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Changes are reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be announced on the homepage for at least 14 days.
